It is well known that general shotcrete machines are divided into dry spray machines and wet spray machines, but many customers do not know how to choose the right spray gun application for their projects. Next, I will show you the difference wet mix and dry mix shotcrete machine.

Both place the concrete by projecting the material pneumatically from the hose. The difference is in the addition of water to the material. In wet mixing applications, all materials - including cement, aggregate, mixture and water - are mixed together before being pumped through a hose and pneumatically projected. Typically, concrete trucks supply a wet mixture and are pumped through a shotcrete rig for placement. Typically, the wet mixture is used for large capacity placement for easy access by construction vehicles. 

In dry mixing applications, all dry materials - including cement, aggregates and mixtures - are mixed together, pneumatically conveyed through a hose, and then passed through a water ring at the nozzle where water is evenly injected into the mixture. Typically, dry blending is used for small to medium volume placement or conditions with limited vehicle access.
