Peristaltic pump working principle:
LH series peristaltic pump consists mainly of pump house, rotor, roller, idle roller, squeeze tube and driving unit. The squeeze hose is U-shape in pump house, when rotor drives roller to rotate, hose is deformed. After the roller rotate, the deformed hose recover by its elasticity. Thus the negative pressure in this hose is generated, sucking slurries, and discharging through outlet under roller’s push, finally forms pressure conveying of slurries.
Peristaltic pump features:
1. No seals, the peristaltic pump has no seals to avoid problems such as corrosive chemical leaks and ongoing maintenance.
2. No valves, due to the lack of valves, seals and glands, they are inexpensive and require only maintenance hoses or tubes for maintenance. The peristaltic pump also has a gentle pumping action and is ideal for shear sensitive polymers and fragile cell cultures.
3. Self -priming, the recovery of the hose or tube creates a strong self-priming action and allows the pump to move liquid containing trapped air or possibly exhaust gases. The powerful suction provided by the recovery of a re-enforced hose gives hose pumps suction lift capabilities up to 9.5m of water.
