The hose pump is a kind of rotor type positive displacement pump, named because its working principle is similar to the digestive tract to transport gas, solid and liquid three-phase medium. The first priority for designers and users of a hose pump is its ability to deliver highly abrasive media. The adhesives in latex emulsions become very hard if they come into contact with air. As the mechanical seal wears out, it begins to leak and cause maintenance and environmental problems in the process, so we use a hose peristaltic pump.
1) Since there are no mechanical seals and gland packing and other sealing components, there is no need to worry about the leakage of latex in the sealing part.
2) Since there is no sealing part, it can be run dry and used as a vacuum pump.
3) Because the latex only passes through the special hose, the impeller, rotor, cylinder and other running parts do not contact the liquid, and do not stir and foam, so it can be directly transported in the original state.
4) It can be conveyed in either direction of discharge or suction, so the latex remaining in the discharge tube can be easily discharged by reversing.
5) The parts in contact with latex are only rubber, which has good wear resistance and low-speed operation, so it is suitable for the transportation of latex.
Hose pumps only have the hose in contact with the lotion. This separates the pumped medium from the air. Without seals, pumps won't get damaged even if they dry out longer. The cylindrical rotor of the hose pump is propelled along the hose and in the process, through the hose. At the same time, the hose returns to its original shape at the point of compression, creating a suction action at the pump inlet. As a result, the hose hole is filled with medium.
When the hose is tightly squeezed by the cam, there will be no backflow. Hose pumps do not mix or shear the material being pumped. Hose pumps are the right choice for handling latex.
