The technology for producing lightweight bricks from CLC bricks was originally a mixture of cement, fly ash and water. These three were added and a thick slurry was prepared. It is further mixed with the protein foaming agent in a common concrete mixer under ambient conditions. The blowing agent was diluted in 40 parts of water. The addition of preformed foam creates millions of tiny voids in lightweight brick materials. Therefore, the name cellular green (CLC) has been derived.

The weight of the foam should be stable and should not exceed 80g/l. The containment (or compression) must be as close as possible to a volume of 10L. This is to control the density of the foam. Under no circumstances should the blowing agent be in contact with oil, chemicals or any other material that may alter its function. Emulsions of protein foaming agents and water must be used earliest. It was added in proportion and the mixture was thoroughly stirred. It is similar to stirring eggs to create a foam. This is done to get the foam effect in the concrete.

The foam imparts the free flowing nature of this mixture. This is due to the ball bearing effect of the foam bubbles, thus making it easy to flow into all corners of compact molds of different shapes and sizes. This CLC brick making technique and machinery does not require any type of vibration or compaction. Finally, the lightweight bricks are cured with water for 2-3 weeks.
